About Pilates Institute of Connecticut
Our Story
I started the Institute because I saw a gap in education in the Pilates industry. The two options were a $150 online certification or a $4,000+ comprehensive program. There was nothing in between. I combined the education and in-person aspects of a comprehensive program with affordability. Many aspiring instructors also work full-time jobs so there needs to be an option that aligns with that demographic. Cue the Pilates Institute of Connecticut.
I am extremely proud of our Mat Foundations and Reformer certifications. As a studio owner myself, I know how difficult it can be to find Pilates instructors. Our certifications produce instructors who are knowledgeable and highly capable to teach a great Pilates class.
Founder & Director
Brooke Mariotti
Brooke Mariotti is the Founder and Director of the Pilates Institute of Connecticut. As a seasoned fitness professional, studio owner, and educator, she brings years of experience in personal training, group fitness, Pilates instruction, and program development. Brooke is dedicated to raising the standard of Pilates education by combining classical principles with modern teaching methodology, ensuring that every graduate is equipped with both technical expertise and real-world teaching skills. Her vision for the Institute is to create a professional, supportive community where instructors are empowered to thrive, inspire, and make Pilates accessible to all levels of clients.
Kristen Medoff
Kristen Medoff serves as a Master Instructor at the Pilates Institute of Connecticut, bringing both expertise and passion to her teaching. With years of experience as a Reformer coach and a deep commitment to holistic wellness, Kristen has guided clients through transformative Pilates journeys that emphasize strength, alignment, and mind–body connection. As a Master Instructor, she plays a central role in training and mentoring future teachers, ensuring that every student develops not only technical skill but also the confidence and presence to lead with excellence.
