Mat Foundations Certification

Our Mat Foundations Certification is the ideal starting point for anyone interested in becoming a Pilates instructor or deepening their understanding of movement. This 35-hour course introduces the history, philosophy, and core principles of Pilates while building a strong foundation in functional anatomy and movement mechanics. You will learn a full repertoire of beginner and intermediate mat exercises, along with how to modify, progress, and sequence them safely for diverse bodies and goals.

Through a blend of lecture, guided practice, observation, and hands-on teaching drills, you’ll develop not only technical proficiency but also the confidence to cue effectively, manage a room, and create thoughtful, engaging classes. Emphasis is placed on safety, alignment, breath, and intentional movement, ensuring you leave prepared to teach with clarity and purpose.
